Honey Glazed Carrots

Who doesn't love the taste of honey and carrots? This is a great side dish for those days that you need to whip up something fast and tasty. Although, this dish does put a new meaning to healthy carrots it's one of my favorites! 


5-6 carrots peeled and cut into any shape
2 tbls brown sugar
2 tbls honey
1 tbls butter
1 tsp lemon
Pinch of salt

In a saucepan add carrots and about 1/4 cup water, allow carrots to steam for a few minutes until soft. Add brown sugar, honey and butter and stir to combine. 
The brown sugar and honey will begin to caramelise slightly. 

Now add the lemon and pinch of salt. The salt helps bring all the flavours together. If you find the sauce is too sweet add a bit more lemon.
